The England FA are stepping up the pressure on Roberto Mancini to replace Sam Allardyce, claim reports in Italy.

It had already been rumoured that the former Inter and Manchester City Coach was a prime candidate for the bench.

He was one of the main options before Allardyce was appointed over the summer, but at that time was still under contract with Inter.

He left the club by mutual consent just two weeks before the start of the season and is seeking a new challenge, most likely outside of Italy.
