"Love makes you do crazy things," The Coach told Rai Due. "It makes you get married at 68 years old and makes you take on the national team, leaving behind a two-year contract with a club.
"I knew it was difficult, I know it's difficult, but it is part of my DNA. In all clubs I have been at there has always been skepticism in general because they needed to be rebuilt.
"These clubs have almost always been revived by me, this is a difficult challenge but I am confident to succeed this time too.
"The national team is always subject to criticism, there is a bit of prejudice because of the fact I have not won league titles and this influences them a bit.
