Andrea Mandorlini is sorry to hear of Genoa fans' planned boycott but says one victory can change everything.

The former Verona Coach takes charge of the Griffone for the first time today but will do so in front of a reduced crowd, with ultras set to protest against President Enrico Preziosi.

However, the 56-year-old believes it is up to him and his players to win supporters back through performances, adding that every member of the squad should be contributing more to the cause.

"All choices are respected. At the moment we need everyone," Mandorlini told a Press conference. "We are really sorry about it, but now it is up to us to bring enthusiasm.

"I can't wait for the match. We have had some issues to resolve but now we have a game to play. There are a lot of situations to face and I am very happy the match is here.

"It's normal that when results don't come there is a lack of confidence. It can even happen to the big teams with players used to big competitions.

"I played too, I know when these moments happen it is tiring but one win can change everything.

"We all need to do a lot more in terms of the physical, mental and technical sides."
