Juve battle Bayern for Alex

Juventus will have to again tussle with Bayern Munich should they want to sign Chelsea stopper Alex.

The Old Lady are searching for a new centre-back and the Stamford Bridge defender has been linked.

Alex, formerly of Santos and PSV, could be allowed to leave Chelsea this summer for a fee in the region of €9m.

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta is keen on the Brazilian international, 29, but so too are Bayern Munich.

A war of words broke out between both clubs last month when the Italian outfit netted Arturo Vidal from Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern claimed that the Chilean had agreed to join them before putting pen to paper on a contract with the Bianconeri.
