Di Natale targets hat-trick

Antonio Di Natale is hoping to become the first Italian to win the Capocannoniere crown for the third consecutive season.

Having topped the goal charts over the last two League campaigns, he's hoping to mirror the achievements of Milan's Gunnar Nordahl and Michel Platini of Juventus.

"It's my dream to win the Capocannoniere title for the third straight Serie A championship," the striker told Calcio 2000 magazine.

"I feel in great shape ahead of the new season and I will certainly give it my best shot. It's an objective for me!"

Di Natale, who will be 34 in October, has been in Udine since 2004 and he intends to spend the rest of his playing days at the Stadio Friuli.

"I have an extraordinary relationship with the Pozzo family," continued the former Empoli forward.

"I also have a good rapport with the fans. These are the reasons why I have been convinced to stay here for the rest of my career."
