Ranocchia aims to improve

Andrea Ranocchia is hoping to underline his status as one of Italy's most promising players during his first full season at Inter.

"I hope to improve upon last year," the January signing from Genoa told Inter Channel.

"After six months of acclimatization and preparation, I want to have an even better campaign than the one I just completed."

Ranocchia is now an Italian international regular and is expected to feature heavily in Gian Piero Gasperini's 3-4-3.

"Preparations are going well and we'll be ready for the start of the season," continued the former Bari centre-back.

"The most difficult part of the pre-season camp is gone. Now we're speeding up and we'll be at our best for the first game that awaits us.

"I'm very sorry for how things went in the Italian Super Cup, but now we're doing well and we'll get revenge."

Inter lost 2-1 in the Italian Super Cup Final against Milan recently.
