Diego Forlan's agent is waiting for Inter to sell Samuel Eto'o to Anzhi before making their move for the Atletico Madrid striker.
The Uruguayan international has been pinpointed as the ideal replacement should Eto'o move to Russia for around €29m.
“As of today, I have still not spoken to anyone from Inter,” agent Daniel Bolotnikoff told fcinternews.it during a visit to Milan.
“I assume the Nerazzurri could make a step forward once they have sold Eto'o.”
However, that transfer is back in doubt after Inter set a Monday deadline for the final improved offer from the Russians.
“I learned with certainty that the Eto'o affair is at the moment frozen. If they don't close that deal, then it's very unlikely they'll talk to Forlan.”
