Fiorentina have again underlined that Riccardo Montolivo will be sold to a foreign club this summer.
The Italian has been linked with both Milan and Roma, but the Viola insist they will not strengthen another Serie A side.
"Montolivo doesn't believe in the Fiorentina project," sporting director Pantaleo Corvino noted. "As a result, the player will be sold abroad."
The Azzurri international has been stripped of the club captaincy after he refused to sign an extension to his contract which expires in 2012.
It's unclear which clubs are keen on the former Atalanta player at this time, but Bayern Munich have been paired.
Meanwhile, Corvino also commented on the futures of Juan Manuel Vargas and Alberto Gilardino.
"If Vargas leaves then we are already well covered thanks to Andrea Lazzari and the return of Stevan Jovetic," he added.
"As for Gilardino, we have had no offers for him. There has just been a verbal interest from one club."
Vargas has been paired with Juventus, while Genoa are very keen on the Italian international striker.
