Bologna claim that their best transfer decision of the summer was keeping hold of Gaston Ramirez.
The Uruguayan attacking midfielder, 20, attracted the interest of Fiorentina, Juventus, Udinese and Roma amongst others.
"I promised that I would keep Ramirez and, at the end of the window, he did remain," President Albano Guaraldi told the Corriere dello Sport.
"I believe that I can say that he was our best buy," the Rossoblu chief added.
"We also managed to hold on to Gaby Mudingayi and that was also a very good move for us.
"I'm happy with what was done in the window. Now I just can't wait for the new season to finally start we've waited for too long."
Serie A should kick off on September 9 after the Week 1 action was postponed due to player strike action.
