Cesare Bovo is eagerly looking forward to playing for Genoa again in Serie A following his summer move from Palermo.
The 28-year-old spent the 2007-08 campaign at the Stadio Ferraris before moving to Palermo. He's now back after three years in Sicily.
"It'll be a great sensation to put this shirt on again and to once more take to the field at Marassi," the centre-back noted.
"It was easy for me to fit back into this healthy squad even if only two players are still here from my previous spell Marco Rossi and Alessio Scarpi."
Genoa entertain newly promoted Atalanta this weekend as Serie A finally kicks off after strike action saw Week 1 postponed.
