Djibril Cissè makes his Serie A debut tonight and has already been won over by Lazio Coach Edy Reja and teammate Miroslav Klose.
The former Liverpool and Panathinaikos striker takes on Milan this evening at San Siro and is hoping for great things this season.
“Reja is always there, following the team closely, telling us off with the objective of making us progress,” Cissè told L'Equipe.
“He reminds me of Auxerre legend Guy Roux, as he has the same old-fashioned style of management.
“In training we work very hard on placement and movement in absolutely minute detail. When we don't do exactly what the Coach asks, he stops the move and makes us start all over again until we get it right.
“He insists on communication between players, as all the movement has to be done simultaneously.”
Cissè is one of several new players in the Lazio squad this season, pairing up with German international Klose.
“He speaks a little English, so we get along well. We never stop talking to each other, not even under the shower, while after training we often discuss what we have to improve.
“Considering what this club did on the transfer market, I think targeting the top four or five spots isn't out of the question.”
