Massimiliano Allegri has told his side to show no fear when facing Barcelona on Tuesday. "We are Milan!"
The two teams meet in one of the most eagerly anticipated ties from Matchday 1 of the Champions League.
"We have great players," the tactician stated on Monday. "We are Milan and anything can happen in football.
"We can't take on Barcelona with any kind of fear, but we have to respect them and look to do well in both the defensive and attacking phase.
"We are taking on the team who is playing the best football there is at the moment, but we need to play with focus.
"We have to avoid making the same mistakes as we did in the first 20 minutes against Lazio."
The Rossoneri were 2-0 down against the capital club on Friday, until Antonio Cassano created one and scored the other in the 2-2 draw.
However, despite that display, the Italian international looks like he will be dropped at the Nou Camp.
"Cassano was excellent against Lazio, but, because of his characteristics, Alexandre Pato is the favourite to start alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic."
While Pato could be brought into the side, Allegri may also choose Antonio Nocerino instead of Massimo Ambrosini in midfield.
