Lavezzi unlikely to face Milan

The latest reports from Naples suggest Ezequiel Lavezzi will not recover in time to face Milan on Sunday night.

The striker limped off during the 1-1 draw with Manchester City and, although tests ruled out fractures, he suffered heavy bruising to his ankle.

“Lavezzi did not train with the rest of the squad on Friday and only underwent physiotherapy sessions,” reported Sky Sport Italia.

“He even struggled to put his foot on the ground. If he doesn't train again today, then he is definitively out of the game with Milan.

“Lavezzi will do everything he can to be there, but at the moment Goran Pandev is set to start in his place.”

Pandev would complete the trident with Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani, though other options include Mario Alberto Santana, Giuseppe Mascara and even Juan Zuniga.
