Seedorf: 'Napoli were lucky'

Clarence Seedorf insists Milan were not out-played in their 3-1 defeat to Napoli. “They only left their own half five times.”

The Rossoneri suffered a heavy loss at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday evening and are already five points off the top of the table.

“OK, so we conceded seven goals in three official games, but I am still sleeping soundly,” Seedorf told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“You have to look at how those goals were conceded. We were beaten by Djibril Cissè, Miroslav Klose, Barcelona and Edinson Cavani, who are all in great form. I don't think that's anything to be ashamed of. Our defence still works.”

Milan now have to get back on their feet against Udinese on Wednesday night in Serie A Week 4.

“We are not worried or tense. Napoli made the most of all their scoring opportunities. They only left their own half five times and scored by pouncing on ricochets.

“At the moment we are unlucky, so I didn't see Milan in trouble.”
