Marco Rigoni couldn't quite believe his brace for Novara to beat Inter 3-1. “It was a historic night.”
The midfielder converted a penalty and scored with a tap-in to see off the mighty Nerazzurri in their first Serie A home game since 1956.
“We ended last season with a historic night and started the new one with another,” grinned Rigoni.
“I am so happy. Novara played the perfect game this evening. The Coach had given us the instructions and we followed them to the letter.
“However, there is no chance of us getting big-headed.”
Novara have amassed four points in their first three games, scoring six goals and conceding five.
