Alberto Malesani is top of the table for the first time in 12 years and it's “a source of great pride for Genoa.”
The Rossoblu are joint leaders with Juventus and Udinese on seven points after three games, as already no sides are left with a 100 per cent contract.
“I had not been top of the table since 1999,” said the Coach. “It may only last one round, but it is a source of great pride for Genoa.
“Against Catania we played a wonderful game in front of our fans, who from now on will be even closer to the team.
“I think there is further margin for improvement, especially in terms of how exciting and entertaining we can be. At the moment Genoa are efficient, which is ultimately the most important thing in football.”
