Delio Rossi has given his blessing to new Palermo Coach Devis Mangia, and not ruled out ever returning to the Rosanero, or former club Lazio.
The two teams meet this weekend, and where Rossi has had notable fall-outs with the Presidents of both clubs, he has indicated he would be open to returning to either in the future.
"Whoever thinks [I cannot return to Lazio or Palermo] is wrong. I have good relationships with both [Claudio] Lotito and [Maurizio] Zamparini. Although I live in Rome, I enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Palermo.
"If you remember, I went back to Salerno, Foggia and Pescara. Recently I said no to Zamparini because I represented the past, and it was right for the company to have a clean cut.
"Personally, I did not expect [Stefano] Pioli's dismissal, he seemed to have a good bond with Zamparini, he had been wanted by him.
Rossi then gave his opinion on the current Palermo Coach Mangia, who has collected six points from the opening three rounds of the season.
"Mangia? Since his relationship with [Sean] Sogliano, it was predictable that Palermo would choose to bet on him. I like him.
"He has the advantage of being able to work in a situation where, even for the sake of novelty, it will examine the merits of the young Coach."
The 51-year-old then ruled out attending the game, before giving his reading on the possible result.
"I'd like to see it live, but I will avoid doing so. My presence would be construed as misleading, I'm deserting games at the Olimpico this season.
"A predicition? Lazio have returned to winning ways at Cesena and at the moment has something more, in terms of security, compared to Palermo which is more an unknown quantity.
"On the coupon, I would put a 1x."
