Montella 'regrets' not beating Juve

Vincenzo Montella feels Catania deserved to beat Juventus this afternoon. “There are regrets that we didn't get the full points.”

The Sicilians had taken the lead with Gonzalo Bergessio, but Milos Krasic equalised in a game with numerous chances for both sides.

“In the first half we were so concentrated and kept the team tight. After the break we conceded that equaliser, but did well to still create scoring opportunities,” said the Coach.

“There are regrets that we didn't get the full points, even if a draw is an acceptable result, considering we were facing Juventus.”

Montella surprised many by leaving Maxi Lopez on the bench for this game.

“There is a lot of competition in attack and with three games in seven days I had to make decisions to keep everyone on their toes. Now I expect a reaction from Maxi on the field.”
