Serie B side Empoli have fired Alfredo Aglietti and appointed Giuseppe Pillon after their home defeat to Padova.
The Tuscans are already 11 points off the top of the table and sitting in 15th place, so Saturday's 4-2 loss was the final straw.
This morning Empoli announced they had sacked Coach Aglietti and brought in ‘Bepi' Pillon.
“I signed a one-year contract, as I believe in this club and these players,” Pillon told TMW.
“This is a healthy environment in which it is easy to work well. As soon as they called me, I didn't hesitate a second before signing.”
