Ibra: 'This will help confidence'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring this evening and feels Milan's win over BATE is “important for our confidence.”

The Swede hit the back of the net in the first half and Kevin-Prince Boateng sealed the 2-0 Champions League success after the break.

“We created so many chances and thankfully the goal arrived in the end,” Ibra told Rai Sport.

“We played well and this game is important for our confidence. If the team plays well, then so do I, and we can carry on like that. We combine a great deal in attack and that makes us all more dangerous.”

The results in Group H mean the Rossoneri could already qualify in the next game if they beat BATE Borisov in Belarus.

Meanwhile, Milan visit Lecce in Serie A on Saturday in a bid to close on the top of the table.

“We don't just want to beat Lecce, but we intend to win every game. If we play like we did tonight, then we can go all the way.”
