Paris Saint-Germain are pondering a January bid for Fiorentina ace Riccardo Montolivo, according to reports.
The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and PSG are hoping to add him to their squad for the second half of this campaign.
Fiorentina had previously claimed that the midfielder, who has refused to sign an extension, would remain until June 2012.
However, it is being suggested that the French giants could tempt the Viola into a sale by offering a fee for a player who will be available on a free next summer.
Montolivo, an Italian international, is still being monitored by Italian giants Milan who were interested in netting him last summer.
Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg are also said to be considering a New Year bid for the Atalanta youth product.
