Daniele Bonera says he's ready to play in any position for Milan even if he insists he prefers a centre-back role.
The Italian international can be fielded across the entire backline, but he was used alongside Thiago Silva against Parma on Wednesday to cover for the absent Alessandro Nesta.
"I feel at home in the middle of the defence," the former Brescia man told the club's official website.
"Saying that, I've told the Coach that I'll play wherever he wants to use me. The most important thing is that the side scores goals and doesn't concede them."
The champions are getting back on track after a problematic start to the season. Their third win in a row now means they are just two points shy of leaders Juventus.
"I think that the League table is starting to show our true worth," continued Bonera after the 4-1 victory.
"We made a few mistakes earlier this season, but it is clear that we were not the side who lost to Juve in Turin.
"But now we have to recuperate for this weekend because it won't be easy to go and face Roma in the capital."
Roma will go into the tie having lost 2-1 at Genoa on Wednesday, despite the fact that they dominated the game.
