Marek Hamsik is confident Napoli can qualify for the Champions League knockouts. “Our destiny is still in our hands.”
The Partenopei slipped into third position behind Manchester City after last night's 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Their remaining Group A games are at home to City and away to Villarreal, but it looks as if the San Paolo showdown will be decisive.
“We started well, but then struggled as Bayern pushed forward and took the initiative. It was important that we managed to reduce the gap before the end,” Hamsik wrote on his official website.
“It's a shame about the defeat, as now we are third in the group, but our destiny is still in our hands.
“If we control the games with Manchester City and Villarreal the way we can, then we'll qualify.”
