Palermo have confirmed that they will not even consider selling Matias Silvestre to Roma in January.
The Argentine has been linked with the capital club after Giallorossi stopper Nicolas Burdisso was ruled out for the rest of the campaign following knee ligament damage.
“Silvestre to Roma? Absolutely not,” Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini underlined on Friday afternoon.
“They wouldn’t even permit themselves to ask us for him…”
After silencing that rumour, the Stadio Barbera chief then rubbished suggestions that Federico Balzaretti is packing his bags.
“Balzaretti will not join Paris Saint-Germain in January,” he added. “He is going nowhere, he’ll remain with us.”
The Italian international is keen on a switch to the French capital given that his girlfriend works for a ballet company in the city.
