Ferrara: 'This Juve equal to mine'

Under-21 Coach Ciro Ferrara took a sideswipe at the club that fired him. “Juventus have as many points as they did last season.”

The tactician was sacked by the Bianconeri in February and they are now in joint second place under Gigi Del Neri's tenure.

“The statistics say Juventus have as many points now as they did at this time last season,” noted Ferrara.

“The Scudetto race is open, as Milan's six-point advantage can be whittled away in a couple of games.

“I believe that Napoli, Juve and Lazio are fully in the running for the Serie A title.”

Ferrara also commented on reports Juventus are ready to sell Gianluigi Buffon after warning he'd have to earn his place back from Marco Storari.

“Buffon is an Italian football treasure. I have to remind everyone that even at 60 per cent fitness he remains the best goalkeeper in the world.”
