Milan to get Natali for Christmas?

Milan will consider bringing in a new centre-back during the winter transfer window as cover for Mario Yepes.

The Colombian was yesterday ruled out for the next 10 weeks given the need for surgery on his right ankle.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri will subsequently make a move for Cesare Natali of Fiorentina.

The Italian champions were expected to make a bid to net the player in the summer once his Viola contract had expired.

However, Milan could now offer the Tuscan club a nominal fee for a stopper who they will lose on a Bosman in June 2012 anyway.

Milan are also worried about the fitness issues hampering the campaigns of centre-backs Philippe Mexes and Alessandro Nesta.
