The agent of Vincenzo Iaquinta has reacted with surprise to reports that the Juventus man is wanted by Fiorentina.
The Corriere dello Sport this morning suggested that a January switch was on the horizon for the 2006 World Cup winner.
However, contacted by TMW, Andrea D’Amico has dismissed the possibility of a move to Tuscany for his client.
“I’ve not spoken to Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino about Iaquinta,” D’Amico commented on Wednesday.
“I don’t know where this story has come from.”
Iaquinta has been paired with an exit given that he hasn’t played for the Old Lady of Italian football since last season.
“Iaquinta is fit and he could easily play again, he’s been ready for months,” the representative continued.
“A Juventus exit? The important thing is that the player is healthy – we’ll evaluate everything else later.”
