Douglas Maicon will not be leaving Inter for Paris Saint-Germain. “He’s already at a big club.”
Reports were suggesting that Maicon had become the latest Serie A based player to be targeted by PSG director Leonardo, a man who bossed the full-back at San Siro last season.
However, his representative has made it quite clear that the former Monaco man is happy at the Stadio Meazza.
“I want to assure all of the Nerazzurri fans,” Roberto Calenda told Sky Sport Italia after whispers of a €15m bid.
“Maicon is and will continue to be an Inter player as he wants to win more honours in this jersey,” he continued.
“I can categorically exclude any transfer negotiations with any clubs, there is no contact with Paris SG or with anyone else.
“I can understand that Maicon is a player who is wanted by some very big teams, but he’s already at a great club.
“He’s happy at Inter and he wants this marriage to continue.”
The right-back is a Brazilian international.
