Cesena’s Marco Parolo has distanced himself from rumours of a move to Fiorentina. “I’m not thinking about the market.”
The Viola are looking for some January reinforcements and the Italian, who they were already linked with over the summer, is said to be of real interest.
“I don’t want to think about these things otherwise I’ll run the risk of distracting myself,” the 27-year-old told the Corriere dello Sport.
“I have an excellent relationship with President Igor Campedelli and if anything new regarding my future pops up then we will discuss it.
“However, one thing is for sure – as long as I wear the colours of Cesena then I will continue to give my all for this club.”
Campedelli recently admitted that there were a number of clubs queuing up for the player who was a revelation during his first Serie A campaign last term.
He was a major reason why the Seahorses survived the drop and he was even rewarded for his form with his first Italy cap by boss Cesare Prandelli.
Parolo was expected to be sold at the end of the 2010-11 campaign, but Cesena held on to him after buying out Chievo’s 50 per cent stake in him.
Udinese and Cagliari have also been paired with his services.
