Cavani: 'Napoli are the anti-Milan'

Edinson Cavani is Capocannoniere of Serie A and insists “Napoli can be the anti-Milan this season.”

The Partenopei are just three points adrift of the leaders after their last-gasp win over Lecce thanks to Cavani's 10th goal.

“It was a very difficult game, as Lecce closed up all the spaces. It was a deserved victory, even though we made so many mistakes in front of goal,” said the Uruguayan.

“We kept going and would not give in then, thank God, at the end we broke through and go home with a lovely Christmas present.”

Napoli are level second with Lazio and their Scudetto ambitions are growing by the day.

“Can Napoli be the anti-Milan? Yes. Now we have to focus on our holidays and when the break is over, we will continue to do as well as we are now.”
