Pasquale Marino is confident Genoa are finding their feet and can get a result in today’s trip to Palermo with Rodrigo Palacio, Giuseppe Sculli and Alberto Gilardino.
The Grifone have changed during the transfer window, bringing in Gila from Fiorentina and Lazio’s Sculli to reinforce their squad.
“Last Sunday’s win over Udinese must be a starting point for us and not just a flash in the pan,” warned the Coach.
“We’ve got to get a result and prove we can adopt the same mentality away from home as we do at Marassi.
“Palermo have a very strong group of players and are going through a difficult time, so we have to be extra wary of their determination.”
Kevin Constant is out after picking up an ankle injury during Thursday’s 2-1 Coppa Italia defeat to Inter.
“Unfortunately that fixture means we were unable to work the way we usually do during the week. Aside from the result, I saw an organised and concentrated side against Inter. It’s a sign the lads are working well.
“Palacio and Gilardino have recovered, while Sculli is at my disposal. Giandomenico Mesto will be used at right-back.”
