Brazil squad has three ‘Italians’

There are just three Serie A based players in the Brazil squad for their friendly against Bosnia at the end of this month.

Boss Mano Menezes has opted for Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar, Milan stopper Thiago Silva and HernanesLazio’s inspirational midfielder.

Former Milan man Ronaldinho is included as well, but current Rossonero forward Robinho has been ignored.

The two teams will meet each other in Switzerland on February 28.

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Inter), Diego Alves (Valencia), Rafael (Santos).

Defenders: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Danilo (Porto), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Alex Sandro (Porto), Adriano (Barcelona), Dedé (Vasco da Gama), David Luiz (Chelsea), Thiago Silva (Milan), Luisão (Benfica).

Midfielders: Elias (Sporting Lisbon), Fernandinho (Shakhtar Donetsk), Sandro (Tottenham Hotspur), Paulo Henrique, Ganso (Santos), Hernanes (Lazio), Lucas (São Paulo), Ronaldinho (Flamengo).

Forwards: Neymar (Santos), Hulk (Porto), Jonas (Valencia), Leandro Damião (Internacional).
