Rafa Benitez's agent is meeting again this morning with Inter's lawyer Rinaldo Ghelfi to decide upon the nature of his contract rescission.
Inter President Massimo Moratti has reportedly instructed Ghelfi to sever ties with Benitez after a sudden deterioration in their relationship.
Benitez's agent Manuel Garcia Quillon was seen at Ghelfi's offices this morning along with Inter's chief technical director Marco Branca, the director of sport Piero Ausilio and another lawyer who acts for the club who goes by the name of Angelo Capellini.
Reports in the Italian media suggest a final decision to sack Benitez could arrive later today.
Meanwhile, Benitez is back in England spending Christmas with his family. The former Liverpool manager has even enrolled his daughter Claudia at a local school.
Banners appeared on the gates at Anfield last night, imploring Rafa to return to the club.
In the meantime, Leonardo is the favourite to replace him at Inter.
