Cesare Maldini doesn’t believe that son Paolo will take up a coaching role with French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports from France had suggested that the Italian legend would move to PSG in the summer to become the side’s defensive Coach.
Father Cesare, though, doesn’t believe such an hypothesis has anything to do with footballing reality.
“I know that he was a guest of PSG director Leonardo a little while ago and that he keeps in touch with boss Carlo Ancelotti,” the former Italy tactician told Sky Sport Italia.
“I don’t know for sure what Paolo will do in the future, but I doubt that he’ll look after the defenders in Paris.
“You can do anything in life, but I don’t think that is what Paolo aspires to.”
Cesare, who like Paolo played for Milan, would rather see his boy take up some sort of role with the Rossoneri.
“I’d like to see him work for the club as he wore their shirt for a lifetime. Milan are a symbol in the Maldini household.”
