Matteo Brighi will remain at Roma until the end of the season despite again attracting the attention of Genoa.
"Their interest in him is dated, seeing as Genoa had already made an approach for the player during the summer," revealed agent Vanni Puzzolo.
"I think a January move is impossible too, as I can't see Roma letting go of a player who has only just extended his contract until 2014.
"It's true that anything can happen in football, but Matteo will stay at Roma. He is happy, the club is happy, I see no reason for a change."
Brighi has started to feature more heavily for Claudio Ranieri's side in recent weeks after being widely regarded as a squad player at the start of the campaign.
His performances have been so good of late that some are even talking about him returning to the international set-up.
"Italy boss Cesare Prandelli knows him well as he coached him at Parma, but I don't want to do like others and start calling for his inclusion after three good games," added Puzzolo.
"We are convinced in Brighi's ability and all he needs to do is just calmly continue on this path which he has taken."
