Roma are adamant that they made the right choice in appointing Luis Enrique as their new Coach over the summer.
The inexperienced tactician arrived in Rome after only taking charge of the Barcelona B side in his career.
And results at the Stadio Olimpico have been mixed for the boss who has now lost both derbies to Lazio this season.
“We would make the same choice again,” sporting director Walter Sabatini told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are totally convinced about our Coach because we see how he works on a daily basis and because of the way that he understands football.
“He’s brought a new mentality to the squad, one that we wanted, and we have no regrets at all about Luis Enrique.
“People always blame the Coach, but he can only field the players that he has at his disposal – and I decided who stayed and which new players to sign.”
The Giallorossi are sixth in the standings, 10 points behind third-placed Lazio who they lost to 2-1 on Sunday.
