Inter have made the signing of Andrea Ranocchia official following the completion of his move from Genoa.
The Nerazzurri filed the paperwork this morning after agreeing a deal before Christmas.
Inter already owned a 50 per cent stake in the Italy international centre-back and had planned to sign him outright at the end of the season.
However, once Walter Samuel suffered a serious knee injury, the club looked to hasten their efforts to bring in Ranocchia who emerged last season as one of the brightest defensive talents in Italy.
Ranocchia has signed a five-year deal and will be formally unveiled at Inter's training ground tomorrow afternoon.
