Miccoli leaves Palermo short

Palermo have only one fit striker available against Cagliari, as Fabrizio Miccoli has been ruled out by a flu virus.

The Rosanero are without Mauricio Pinilla and Abel Hernandez for several weeks due to their setbacks.

The situation deteriorated further this weekend when Miccoli failed to recover in time from a flu virus.

He is not even in the squad, so the only available striker is Massimo Maccarone with support from Javier Pastore.

Coach Delio Rossi has drafted in 19-year-old youth team player Umberto Nappello to fill the gaps.

Palermo squad: Benussi, Brichetto, Sirigu; Andelkovic, Balzaretti, Cassani, Darmian, Munoz, Prestia; Bacinovic, Ilicic, Kasami, Kurtic, Joao Pedro, Liverani, Migliaccio, Nocerino, Pastore, Rigoni; Maccarone, Nappello
