Genoa have reacted with surprise to reports that they have agreed to sell Domenico Criscito to Milan.
A number of Italian news sources are this evening reporting that the two clubs have agreed terms for the Italian international.
However, the news comes just hours after President Enrico Preziosi again insisted that he wouldn't be selling Criscito in January.
"Criscito is not moving, at least not until the summer," said the Marassi patron.
The club's sporting director, Stefano Capozucca, has also poured cold water on the whispers of a 'done deal' this evening.
"Criscito to Milan? That seems strange as President Preziosi today confirmed that Criscito will be staying at Genoa," he noted.
The San Siro giants are in search of a left-back and have also been associated with Sampdoria's Reto Ziegler.
Nevertheless, reports coming from the opposite side of the port city claim that Samp owner Riccardo Garrone will not accept an offer below €4m for the defender.
