Genoa President Enrico Preziosi claims Milan are determined to sign Domenico Criscito before the end of the January transfer window.
It's no secret that Milan would like to bring in a new full-back for the second half of the season.
Earlier this week, Adriano Galliani told reporters that he would try to buy one at the request of Max Allegri.
Criscito has long been Milan's No 1 choice for the position although Genoa aren't prepared to sell until the end of the season.
"Galliani calls me every day," Preziosi said. "He did so this morning and will do so again tomorrow.
"There is a friendship between us but I told him not to put me in difficulty because Criscito isn't moving at least until June."
