Veteran striker Giuseppe Mascara claims his deadline day move to Napoli is a dream come true.

The 31-year-old left Catania in a transfer worth €1.2m on Monday night.

He has put pen to paper on a contract until June 30, 2013.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, Mascara said: "The deal wasn't simple.

"I would like to once again thank Catania and Napoli.

"For me it's an honour to be part of this squad and I am prepared to realise important objectives.

"My wife is from Campania. I come here with great enthusiasm and also a little experience in football, which counts."
