Napoli's new signing Giuseppe Mascara says he intends to honour the club's shirt and to give the team a helping hand.
The 31-year-old striker moved to San Paolo on deadline day after nearly eight years with Catania.
Speaking at his official unveiling, Mascara said: "Some years ago I nearly decided to retire because my efforts weren't being repaid. Now I am here to honour this shirt until the last second.
"I am happy. This move has been talked about for many years. Now it has happened and I want to stay here for a long time. I deserve this shirt. I have made a great decision. I couldn't refuse it.
"It's wonderful to win. Napoli are competitive on all fronts. It's right that the fans dream. We are humble and make our own way in this League.
"I have so much enthusiasm it's as if it were my first experience as a professional footballer."
