Toni: 'Beat Inter to prove ourselves'

Luca Toni believes Juventus can beat Inter “to prove what we're made of, test our ambitions and stay determined.”

The Derby d'Italia is this evening in Turin, though on current form the Nerazzurri are favourites.

“Inter are very strong, but this will be a fascinating game to prove what we're made of and test our ambitions,” said the striker.

“We can do well if we play to our strengths. I don't know if a win over the Nerazzurri would be a turning point, but it would boost our confidence.

“With determination and unity, we can get a result against Inter. It's important not to concede, but the forwards have to do our jobs too, like we did against Cagliari.”

Toni scored his first goal in a Juve jersey in last week's 3-1 win in Sardinia, where Alessandro Matri bagged a brace.
