Ficcadenti backed by Cesena

Relegation threatened Cesena insist that they have no intention of replacing Coach Massimo Ficcadenti.

The newly promoted outfit are second from bottom, three points away from safety, but President Igor Campedelli has this evening backed his tactician.

"I can confirm my faith in Ficcadenti," he told Sky Sport Italia. "We want to give continuity to the work that we have started.

"Our objective is to survive."

Cesena haven't won in the League since their Week 18 victory over Brescia.

Following that 2-1 win, they've collected just three points from a possible 24 having also played their re-arranged tie with Inter.

They lost 3-0 at home to in-form Udinese on Sunday.

Ficcadenti was only appointed in the summer as Pierpaolo Bisoli left to join Cagliari after leading them to promotion last season.
