David Pizarro's injury is less grave than first thought and Roma are confident that he will play against Lecce on Friday evening.

The Chilean playmaker came off at half-time against Parma on Sunday when Roma were 2-0 in the lead.

Following his enforced withdrawal, Roma conceded twice and ended up drawing 2-2.

Pizarro underwent a scan this morning to determine the extent of a muscle injury.

However, nothing appeared to be wrong and he returned to training this morning.
