Leandro Greco has announced his intention to consolidate a place in Roma's first team after breaking into the side this season.
The 24-year-old midfielder has so far made five appearances for the Giallorossi in the current campaign and played a decisive role in recent victories over Basel and Lazio.
Greco was on the transfer list this summer, but is now the latest Roman to come through the ranks and play alongside Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi.
Speaking to Sky Italia after last night's 3-2 victory over Fiorentina, Greco said: "I hoped to play from the start after doing quite well in the derby.
"I am happy that the mister had faith in me. The goal against Basel in the Champions League was fundamental because further to being a personal satisfaction it was a repayment for the work I have done in recent months.
"That goal was a good point of departure," he concluded.
