Edinson Cavani feels his goals are “bringing Napoli closer to a dream, because you never know in football,” and explained his odd celebratory dance.
The Uruguayan hadn't netted for six games, but broke that drought with a brace to sink Cagliari 2-1.
That result puts the Partenopei just three points adrift of leaders Milan and right back in the Scudetto race.
“We wanted this victory very much, as it is bringing Napoli closer to a dream. You never know in football.
“These goals are down to the team, who work very hard and put me in a position to score. We believe in hard work and have done since the start of the season, so you can see the results.
“We will keep doing our best and cultivating this little dream of ours.”
Cavani had a curious goal celebration, performing a choreographed dance with teammates Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik.
“It was a sign of how united we are, how much we enjoy playing together, having fun with our football and doing well for Napoli.”
