New Genoa taking shape

Genoa are already making plans for next season after they were today linked with a new Coach, goalkeeper and midfielder.

Rossoblu chief Enrico Preziosi is expected to shake things up at Marassi following a problematic 2010-11.

He sacked boss Gian Piero Gasperini earlier in the campaign and replaced him with Davide Ballardini.

The latter, though, may not be confirmed in the job after the club were paired with former Catania boss Gianluca Atzori and Bologna's Alberto Malesani [pictured].

In terms of fresh faces in the squad, goalkeeper Eduardo risks being shown the door after some costly errors in his first Serie A season.

Palermo and Italy custodian Salvatore Sirigu is being mentioned as a possible target for the port club.

Fiorentina midfielder Marco Donadel, a former Under-21 international, has also been paired with the Grifone in recent hours.

The latter will be available on a free transfer unless he pens a new deal with the Viola in the coming months.
