Inter striker Diego Milito is likely to be fit enough to start on the bench when his side take on Milan in the Derby della Madonnina on Saturday.
The Argentina international has been out since February 6 with a recurring muscle injury and is almost ready to make his comeback.
Milito played in a training match at Appiano Gentile on Tuesday and came through it unscathed much to his relief and that of the club's medical staff.
However, his lack of match fitness means a place on the bench is the more likely scenario albeit with the prospect of a starting berth against Schalke in the Champions League next week.
