Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani believes that Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli needs love if he is to realise his full potential.
The 20-year-old hit the headlines for the wrong reasons last week when it emerged that he had thrown darts at a group of City youth players at the club's training ground.
Balotelli was warned by the FIGC and Italy boss Cesare Prandelli that he risks throwing his career away if he doesn't grow up and show maturity.
Milan have been frequently linked with a move for Balotelli in the past, not least because of his very public support of the club.
Asked to reveal how Balotelli can resolve his problems, Galliani said: "He needs to be loved."
Pressed on whether Milan are ready to show Balotelli the love he needs, Galliani replied: "There is time. We'll see in the future. Love does everyone well."
Turning his attention to Saturday's Derby della Madonnina, Galliani said: "There is a little tension even if this is the 50th or 60th derby under President Silvio Berlusconi."
